After 26 years consulting on technical, software development, and engineering projects—ranging from computing textbooks to automotive litigation—I found a new calling in education. I began teaching full-time at a local high school in 2024, but my connection to students at Northland Preparatory Academy goes back much further, through leading the Middle School Robotics Club and mentoring high school electronics projects. I love designing software and using technology to solve real-world problems.

About this site

This wiki collects the material I use with my students and keep coming back to myself. Engineering holds reference pages for the shop and the wind-power project: supplies, tools, CAD and 3D printing, and a library of airfoil and gearbox resources. Labs is the hands-on curriculum, from first Python programs and digital logic through games, microcontrollers, and CAD. Misc gathers everything else, including classroom norms, daily bell-work prompts, and a set of case studies in engineering failure.
